    A Stradivari Halloween Demo

Robert Davis has sent in this eerie original piece done with the upcoming Stradivari Solo Violin:

Hear the ghost of Stradivari and be prepared to be creeped out.

Nice double-stop vibrato gliss towards the end!

I don't think this was covered in the video demo: are there "sul"/alt-fingering techniques in the instrument?

Great composition! And excellent demo A little too wet for my taste but It makes me want the library more, more and NOW!!

BTW, Am I hearing harmonics at the end or a very faint "touch"? Can it play harmonics anyway?... That'll be great!!! Legato Harmonics!!!

    Thks,

Wow, that sounds like a million bucks!

"Beethoven, why are you erasing that sheet of music?"

"Close the lid you fool, can't you see I'm decomposing?!"

I'd be interested in hearing how long it took to tweak the performance of this 48s piece.

Phenomenal, extraordinary, astonishing, amazing, remarkable, wonderful, gifted, lastly - beyond examination!
You put the beast (GSSV) in the right hands Mr. Garritan! Thank you for posting.

SSV is going to be dynamite in many of the members’ hands.

The instrument has a large scripting to be ready to play in real time, using the right set of midi controllers (aftertouch and expression pedal should be suggested): if you have a basic keyboard technique you may go very close to the best simply playing it, after a little training.

The programming is not esotheric anyway if you understand what velocity, expression and aftertouch values do in the scripting. The other controllers (pich bend, sustain, modulation, KS etc.) do what you expect.

I had this information in a nice discussion with developers in Frankfurt MusikMesse show.
