Red face IVORY PC 1.5- Wow!!!

I received Ivory yesterday and I have to say that it has the best sampled pianos on the market IMHO. I've previously been using White Grand and recently Akoustik Piano, and I honestly do not think I will be touching them again. I stayed up all last night playing Ivory and was blown away. I have never enjoyed playing a virtual piano this much in my life. I appologize if I sound too hyped about Ivory, but I am that impressed. God, how I wish I was a better piano player now. Thank you VERY much Sythogy! Ivory was the best $350 I have spent on music software in years. I look very forward to seeing what else Synthogy comes up with in the future.

Could you let us know your system specs? I was shifting between Ivory 1.5 and Akoustik Piano and ended up getting AP because it was smaller and I thought it would run better on my P4 3.2 Ghz with 1.5 Gig RAM. I don't know though, I like it but I still have nagging thoughts about getting Ivory as well.

I am using a P4 2.8 with 2 gigs of RAM. It's seems to run very well (about the same CPU power as Akoustik as far as I can tell) on my system.

    Hi,

Ivory doesn't have overtones Piano rules between keys.
Akoustik will have this feature very soon !

I can play already with this feature and it's incredible !!!!!!

    Soon.....

Oliver, can you tell me what "overtones piano rules between keys" are? By the way, I didn't mean to knock Akoustik, because it does sound good in mixes. But, for playing solo the difference between Ivory and Akoustik is night and day IMHO.

That's a nice feature, but it doesn't change the basic tone of the piano sounds. It's good to keep that in perspective I think. :-)

    Hi,

Some users don't know what overtones are and the rules.

A piano without overtones in release (a1 to g6) and specific release samples (g6 to c8) can't have a real playing behaviour.

it's easy to add this feature in Ivory

    http://www.audiolivepro.com/download..._script5.1.txt

Just try this script in an existing rack and undestand how it's work in Kontakt 2 and make the same in C++ code or object in the source code of Ivory.

I will make a new video to explain why overtones add indredible realism for live playing !!!!

No doubt, Ivory and Akoustik are very good.

    Regards,

    Olivier

As long as you watching this thread, maybe I can get some info.

I'm a newby at script usage. I applied the above script in K2 to Akoustik's default Steinway nki and got the release resonances. Unfortunately I also lost the body of the sound . What am I doing wrong?
