One more from a folk/gospel project we're producing

Just to prove again that GOS/GPO works incredibly well in a pop mix, here's a song by a guy we're producing. He's a local pastor and used to be a big folkie in the 70's. He's having a blast recording again after all these years and just amazed what technology can do now. His name is Michael Milton and he wrote the song and sings. This song uses GOS sections and GPO solo strings to fatten it up:

    Faithful And True

The recording has a nice open clear quality, string parts seem to fit nicely in there.

I agree, I'm blown away by what technology can allow us to do.

Gosh, but that voice sounds familiar...

Solid song, and really solidly produced. It takes a steady hand and a real sense of balance to do this quality of production, hold onto the materials and the arrangement, and not let it fly so far north it loses its clarity and impact.

Great work on this -- really top flight!

Thumbs up Re: One more from a folk/gospel project we're producing

Excellent sample, thanks for posting it.

I think ballads are a nice and challenging way to make "good" music for everybody. And if the message is positive, as the music mood, the effect will be so good for the people, we are a kind of wizards, we might (or we MUST?) use our power to make the world better...
