No sus pedal; which is legato controller to automate pedal?

Unfortunately, I don't have a keyboard with any pedals.

What I want to do though, is switch legato playing on and off using automation. (I'm on Logic 7.1). - Which MIDI controller is responsible for the leagto control?

I read somewhere that it was CC#64, but that only seems to control the sustain, like a sustain pedal would. It doesn't seeem to effect lagato or not. (And yes, I have got Kontakt set to "no sustain... but MIDI controller").

I am grateful for any help.

CC64 is correct. Turn it on after the note-on event of the first note of the legato phrase. Turn it off prior to the note-off event of the last note of the legato phrase.
