Violin and Piano demo: Perpetual Motion

This movement is for violin and piano. The violin is animated and perhaps frantic (if possible at all).

    Perpetual Motion

Please give it a listen and let me know what you think about it.

    It's about 2 minutes long.

    Thanks.

Cool Re: Violin and Piano demo: Perpetual Motion

    Marko;

I like it. Interesting composition If I were to guess the libraries, Bosendorfer 290, and Kirk hunter solo strings. Am I even close.

Thumbs up Re: Violin and Piano demo: Perpetual Motion

It sounds great! and very progressive. I mean, the ostinato parts on the piano sound closer to Keith Emerson style to me. Funny piece, I like it!

    What libraries have you used?

    Cheers!

    ddarwin7,

You're right. It's the Bosendorfer, KH violin, and a bit of pizzicato-col legno from VSL violin (from the Orchestral Cube).

    Sr Velasco,
Kieth Emerson! Wow. It's been a long time since I listened to him.

    Thanks for listening.

I like it. It definitely evokes a mood of freneticism, as I can only suppose it's meant to do. If you've ever seen an intrigue film called The Sticky Fingers of Time, it would've worked perfectly with that. Nicely done.

good job ! I really like it ! the programming is excellent as well as the playing.

Re: Violin and Piano demo: Perpetual Motion

Thanks Michael. I'll have to see that film. I wonder if this would work well to complement a film sequence.

Thanks Yves. The midi preparation probably took me a few days. The ostinato theme of the violin required a lot tweaking. The composition itself was probably done over the course of a few days. It's the last movement from a violin and piano piece that I worked on several years ago with a different sample library. (The other movements were not as exciting.)

    Thanks for listening.
