    KS Sounds?

    Sorry for the "dummy" question, but what does the "KS" mean in the sounds with that designation?

    I assume it stands for key switching.

    Yes, keyswitching it is.

    For instance, load a KS violins patch, and you can immediately switch from Arco to pizz and other articulations by simply hitting a key that instructs the Kontakt player to change to the desired sound.

    These keyswitches are located usually an octave or two below the lowest playable note for that instrument.

    Very handy...
