    "Your dream", new orig.

    Hi all,

I wrote this piece yesterday using Garritan. I've been really getting stuck into it recently, and let me tell you I love it. Thanks for this great product, and great forum. I'm a 16 year old student in New Zealand.

Beautiful piece, Chris; and very well realized.

I listened through this several times, and I have only one comment:

    Give us more!

Thanks for the comments! Today I'm taking the computer in for a RAM upgrade (I haven't been using Garritan with the full 1 gig yet, i'm looking foward to being able to load the full orchestra!) - and hard-drive extention (I'll have 200gigs!)

Chris - How's the new RAM and HD?

Another great piece, very melodic and well orchestrated. Enjoyed this one a lot. (Okay, the cymbals were too loud - gives it a sense of realism: real drummers are always to loud ...)

Looking forward to more of your music.

    Hi Chris,
Good work young man! I wish I'd been able to write like this when I was 16!

I'd just like to make one suggestion - near the end, in the passage which features oboe and violin playing in unison - it sounds like you might have recorded the passage on one of the instruments, then just copied the midi track and assigned it to the other instrument. The phrasing and rhythms sound identical to me.
Why not switch off the quantize (if it was on already) and record each instrument separately. Any slight imperfections in rhythm will add to the realism. You could then think about varying the expression of each instrument using the mod wheel.

Just a minor point - the overall piece is very lovely!
    Keep up the good work
