    The WHOLE live performance

Well, not exactly GPO. But, it was my gpo steinway mp3's that got JP's attention and he asked to for some scores. Here are the links. This is not the first time my music has been performed, but it is the first that any have been recorded. The reverb is overdone, overcompensation for the room acoustics. Otherwise, very good recording by a pianist who certainly understands my music. As Gary often points out, computer music can not replace a live interpretation, and gpo is but a step in the process (a very good one, too).

The links lead to three choices. At the top, blue button, play mp3. Skip the second choice, scroll down below the score or the blank where the score should be, and under details, Dowload MP3.

This is great Richard! So far what I've heard sounds excellent! There's so much more . . . liveliness . . . when this kind of music is played live! They're great; congrats again! I'll be listening to these for a while, thank you for sharing the live versions! And, of course, my compliments to the piano player.

Ah, my friend, you must be pleased as punch!

Just finished listening to Four Bagatelles... and you're right, the pianist (name?) did a fantastic job of interpretation. Done right like this, by a strong player with great instincts -- this is a beautiful piece!

    Congratulations, once again!

Off to listen to the rest...

This is wonderful. You can indeed be proud of these pieces. I haven't had time to listen to all, but the Bagatelles sound fantastic. I will come back to listen to the others. It certainly is a great feeling to hear one's music come to life. What an outstanding performance by the painist. My congratulations to him/her as well!

    Re: The WHOLE live performance

I've listened to all of the posted pieces, Richard, and...

    BRAVO!

Quite a body of work to be proud of!

The interpretation on these was superb (do you think I could bribe JP into doing my Piano Sonata #7... lol?) -- JP is quite a pianist, with a real sense of modern music and the power, the speed, the agility, and the sheer technial skill to pull it off flawlessly. The polish of the playing is first rate, Richard.

Having heard these played properly and so well, your music comes to me in a whole new light... and a clear and bright one, at that.

Just wanted to add my congratulations. What wonderful performances of your truly fine, musical and imaginative writing. Nicely recorded in my view (didn't find the reverb too much). Such a great kick to hear your music played so well, I bet. Tremendous.

Well, thanks to all for your comments. I have passed them on to JP, along with my own, and he is very happy about them. Obviously, I am also pleased.
