Hi there + A sonata thing

First of all, I would like to compliment all the compositions I heard from this section, I thought all were very well done, pleasing to hear and hum to. Second, I would like to introduce my self (I couldn't find a designated place for that ... or i'm blind), I'm a student ... and music is great ... lol ... yah. Ahem ... I began writing music actually last summer and got GPO early last week, I love it and thank you Mr. Garritan, Hopkins and the others that work so hard to create such a master piece of a library. To add to this great musical community I hope to create great works of music as well. I hope this one isn't ... er... that Bad .

Don't hold back thy thoughts, I want to hear everything you don't like/ like about this one ...

I call it a violin sonata in A minor, op.23

I've tried a couple of times to give this a listen but you're right, bandwidth is apparently scarce!

Excellent piece! The piano and the violin worked very well together. Is this the complete sonata?

    THank you very much!

Yes this is complete sonata ... There was a third movement but it was slopy so I deleted it, I'm too lazy to write a new one

Thumbs up Re: Hi there + A sonata thing

Welcome in the commmunity, your contribution is apreciated, you will find here a lot of people with similar taste and interest.
Your first suggestion: the fugue is dynamic and articulated, but harmony is too static IMHO. Next time try including more contrasting episode, if not in duration and speed, at least in tonal relation. Go on...

Very interesting piece. Some virtuostic moments there . I enjoyed this a lot.

If I could make some comments: the piano seems too far away from the violin. It's sometimes hard to make out what exactly the piano is doing. Your piece would also benefit greatly from some dynamic variation. I would suggest more use of the mod-wheel.

    Great composition .

Welcome to the forum. This is an excellent piece. The writing is quite good and the rendering, for the most part, is very well done. I would second Louis on the piano seeming distant. Also, you might play with the reverb. It doesn't seem like a real acoustic environment.

Ah thank you all for the comments. I don't use a keyboard for inputting music, I'm purely theory written. And if there is a way to uh... do that I have no clue how ... and I think I mispanned the piano :S ... Let me resequence it
    (minutes later...)

er... it would appear it is experiencing difficulties ... any suggestions if one to experience a sudden decrease in volume for no apparent reason, just on one instrument?
