Is Ultra ATA/133 Maxtor a good harddisk for GS?

Yep it is, as you can easily get the max poliphony out of an ATA100 hard drive.

Beware: I would not use MAXTOR hard drives for .GIG files. In my experience they cause lots of clicks and pops in the audio stream (not at random, but constantly in the stream).

Well actually the ATA 133 is to fast.
So fast that it makes gigastudio dizzy and crashes.
Ok seriously, I think the best hard drive out there for the best price is the western digital with the 8 meg buffer.
It come in 80, 100, or 120 gig.
I think the ATA100 is at the best price point , saw it for $127 at pricewatch.com

I meant to say 100 gig is $127.
It is by the way ATA100 and 7200 rpms

If one were to use these ATA133 in a Firewire enclosure, is there an enclosure any of you has used with great success and could recommend?

This would be for a Giga drive not audio.
