To all the piano sample developpers

One thing I miss in all this piano sample pool, is a piano fx (mini) library.

The kind of fx used in movies (I'm not necessarily talking about a prepared piano), but fx done directly in the harp of the piano, harmonics, bowing the strings, etc...

I know there aren't many possible fx, that's why I was thinking that maybe a mini library availble for download could work fine... after all there is no sample library available like this AFAIK and it could be very useful when scoring things, specially when piano libraries are becoming so good...

    What do other people think?

    Best,

    Iván

Post has one of these, as well as EastWest.

A frind of mine captured the sound of a piano, falling out off the window in the 4th floor.
But, this piano was not very expensive.
Maybee thats why he never released it as a library.
I know, he used it in some soundtracks for a TV-spot.
I can ask him if he wants to share it.

I'll check Michiel's, thks for pointing it out.

EW is a prepared piano which is not what I had in mind...

Chris, that "smashed piano" sounds really interesting!

Does Kornel have a sympathetic resonance script for that?

I think such a library would be a nice idea. I saw a photo of a piano where stones were scattered around on the strings. I would love to hear what that sounds like, and maybe have a sampled version of it.

Anyone remember that episode of the TV show, Northern Exposure where they catapulted a grand piano as a part of an "ART EXPO". One of the most hilarious scenes for musicians to see, that I can think of.............

Post and Eastwest, both excellent sample developers, have already been mentioned. So I'll add that Bolder Sounds also sells some unusual piano sounds (I think they have a guitar picked piano).
