I agree heartily! After reading your post I went out and bought one. Super cool fast editing in Acid, Logic, Cubase and Nuendo for me!

Love it. Perfect complement to my O1v as a remote control.

Thanks for turning me on to such a wicked piece of kit!

    Interesting!
I really want to check with you guys if I could use this remote controller for basic navigation and playback/recording tasks within Logic 5.x (pc) and/or SX...

    I found these relevant pages:
    http://www.contouravs.com (company site)
    http://www.contouravs.com/cav_reviews.html
    http://www.macosjournal.com/issues/0108/rev.shuttlepro.shtml

The second one actually is a compilation of reviews and Urls.

Yes, it\'s totally programmable for any app. The listed ones are simply ones they\'ve bundled templates for. I actually tried them and then found I preferred to program it myself. It\'s super quick and easy to program so now I\'ve got my own setups for Logic, Nuendo, Cubase and Acid.

My next step is a Kensington Turbo or Expert Mouse Pro. ShuttlePro with my left hand, mouse with my right. I think this will be a way more ergonomic and efficient way to work.

Just an update. Yup, the above is how I work now, and I now can hide certain toolbars on the monitor to give me more workspace. Sonar has something to install that makes it easier to use, with dropdown menus in setup that has just about everything you can think of. It is also useful in SoundForge and Vegas. Best bang for the buck in my studio. This is the way to work, and much faster.
