"sample not found" K2 - question

    Hi there,

I have K2 sucessfully installed an have already loaded up many of my .nki samples (all working well.)

My problem is on the Imperial Grand Model 290 Bosen piano. When I load up the "Bosendorfer Full.nki" it says 'sample not found' (which is what I expected the first time). BUT - after doing 'search for sample' it only prompts me once and loads up the Bosen.

The only samples loading are 1 vel - pedal up. No louder pedal ups, any pedal downs, or release samples. Talk to Kip about this and we are scratching our heads of why it wouldn't go through these steps the first time (6 or 7 prompts).

When I try it manually it says the file doesn't exist even though I am looking right at it in the loading dialog box.

Any one who has this piano and the new K2 having this problem (K2 is updated)

    Thanks in advance.

(other pianos with up and down samples all load fine.)

Re: "sample not found" K2 - question

Why is it everytime I post a question (after laboring over for an hour) that - just as soon as I hit submit reply I think of something else.

Here we go for the solution (in case someone else has this problem.

The Bosen samples are in 7 different seperate folders. I thought to check my other pianos that were loaded OK and sure enough all the samples are nested in one folder.

Transferred all the files to one folder and the piano loads up perfect!!!!

(BTW - still a great piano Kip )

Hope this helps someone else out.

I've got the best results by rebuilding the K2 database completeley
(okay, that needs a while) and when you're prompted for a missing samples
location check the 'search database' only(!).

This way I only get prompted one time and it still finds all the corresponding
    samples.

Search data base only - good advice. Thanks
