    What to bring to screening/audition?

    ***Advertisments***
I am invited to a private screening in Hollywood this weekend for a new full length documentary. The producer wants to talk to me after about scoring the music. I've already sent him some samples of my work with my query letter. He must have liked them as he invited me. What should I bring with me? I'm a little nervous as I am as green as the hills I live in
Besides my good looks and personality I was thinking resume, business cards and some CDs with some more clips.

    What do you think?

    A basket of muffins?

    Seriously, though, congratulations!

Try not to be nervous. The best way to do this is to remember that they are likely nervous to be meeting a composer who could considerably improve the impact of their movie. You are a mysterious artist who does things they could only consider to be "magic."

Be there as a critical eye towards their film, not just as a seller of music.

One more thing for your list I personally try to never forget... breath mints!

Excellent, congratulations and best of luck! How about your music score written in notation?

Check your zipper! Don't under any circumstances go strolling in there with your zipper down. I did that once.

No inappropriate humour and just be natural - and don't fiddle with yourself. Producers can smell fear.

Hahaha! Brian - I always used to do that! Then you can do the 'good cop, bad cop routine'.

Do you carry a gun Leon?

The only gun I have is permanently attached and it has already gotten me in more than enough trouble for one lifetime My last name Portelance, means "carry a spear" in French
