A question for developers about guitar’s sample libraries

I think that today electric guitars sample libraries are very good but they are not realistic and flexible as acoustic guitars sample libraries.

Virtual amp are becoming very popular. So when I use electric guitar’s samples, I often pass them through NI Guitar Rig. So they sound more realistic. The problem is that my virtual amp is not processing the pure sound of a Stratocaster but a sample of a Stratocaster passed through an amp and an effects rack and programmed to have ASDR of a sound passed through an amp and an effects rack.

So my question is: is it possible to create a sample library with electric guitar’s sounds recorded before they pass through amp and effects rack? It could be sold in bundle with a virtual amp!

Hey I’m just a musician and a costumer, I’m not a developer. So if you think that this is just a stupid question, I’m sorry .... forget it!

But if you’re gonna develop something like that, I want to be a beta tester!

www.vintaudio.com has the clean guitar library that is basically...what you are asking for. I have run it through NI's Guitar Rig many times for a realistic demo. For some things it is good...for others, not so much. Just depends.

LYRICAL DIRECT is in production and will be released by Spring 06.
This is the last volume of the Lyrical Distortion collection. Volume 3.
As with LD1 and LD2, Lyrical Direct (LD3) will be priced well below that of standard retail and offer the utmost quality/realism.

    Acoustic guitar collections will follow.

also , MusicLab is coming up with Real e-guitar.

the same engine ( well..I assume that it might be..) as Realguitar acoustic but with clean electric guitar samples , straight out of the guitar..no amps.
I am definitively looking forward it!
Also , I am glad to hear about Lyrical direct !! that's good news!!

That's great I'll wait for it. This year I'll visit Frankfurt Musikmesse. Hope I'll try Lyrical Direct there!

    FYI:

Prominy is working on a Fender Stratocaster.

It will have some more articulations that the LPC is missing, like falls (not legato slide to note) and single string half note expression bend.

Thank you, Brian. Today I tried this library and it's exactly what I was looking for.
