Can soemebody explain me the difference between balanced and unbalanced in/out. So far i heard that balanced has 2 audio signals
one 180 degree phase shifted and it is better
for noise elimination. How does it work?
You\'re almost right. There is a fase shift with balanced audio, but to put it shortly, the signal phase is reversed to the ground / shield fase. Therefore, at the other end of the cable (much of the) noise of the transport of the audio signal is cancelled out, leaving the audio signal with less noise . For very short cables, like a CD-player connected to a mixer or receiver, this is not necessary; Just use high quality unbalanced cable (keep it as short as possible though)
