Once again, Michael, you're back with a fascinating piece -- extraordinarily well written, interesting material; well thought-out, developed, and rendered.

    Superb!

With much admiration, may I say:

I'm listening to it a second time... Nicely constructed piece! It sounds very contemporary and has well constructed themes. The orchestration and reverb are excellent. I'm impressed. You are new to GPO? I find that hard to believe. Thanks for sharing this with the community.

Well, As I'm listening to Millenium, I find that you have an excellent command of compositional technique. You are certainly not new to composing or compositional technique and your orchestration isn't bad either.

Thanks again for two excellent pieces.

    Re: CANOPY: Post Romanticism

Thank you David and Rich! I'm very happy to hear you both enjoyed the piece. It is one of my personal favorites. It has such an odd personality. I do not have the GPO but I do use the GOS. The GOS is such a wonderful tool. I built my sound library well before the GPO was released. I also have done much research into instrument placement and re-verb techniques.
I have had some time to "get around" in the forum and I can't believe all the wonderful talent in here. I'm actually starting a little musical collection. It is so nice to know what other composers like myself are doing these days.
Again, thanks for your kind words.

Nice work! I enjoyed this piece; I can certainly picture the circus you mention. I wouldn't call it odd though. Wonderful orchestration!

You would make Stravinsky a happy man--a wonderful tribute to him, yet fresh and original. Can I study orchestration with you? Seriously!

Thank you very much for the complements Sean and Don! Stravinsky?! Wow, what an honor. Would love to be as half as good...
Sure, what would you like to know about the orchestration? I would be more than happy to answer any questions.

I very much agree with the Stravinsky comment. It was the first thing that came to mind although I can also hear some R. Strauss. This is marvelous! The writing, mixing and reverb are top notch. I felt as though I was listening to a live performance.

Hi, thank you very much. Not sure what else to say; you give such great complements. So happy you enjoyed it. And even more happy you think the recording is that real. I have spent much time working on "sound placement" and re-verb techniques.
    Again, thank you...
