This is a bit of a weird feeling. If you go for the Daxter preview website, you can download the main music theme for the game as a ring tone. The truetone version is just a horribly downsampled version of the real music but the polyphonic version is a really great sounding recreation. It's a trip to hear my stuff enterpreted like that...particularly since I did not give anyone my midi files or anything like that. Whoever did it has a really good ear!
I must admit, I don't often travel into the midsts of the Game Audio section of this forum (I don't know why) ... but I just spent some time at your nice website and WHEW are you accomplished! I saw "Legacy of Time" under your credits ... woo!! I love that game... I spent many hours playing that in my youth (about 10 years ago I guess... so I was about 10 years old ) I love the music in that game. Who would ever have imagined that I would live to make a post under a thread started by the composer... sniff... sniff
Very kind of you to say. LoT was my first big game. I remember how exciting it was when Apple used it in their advertising campaign. Didn't do very well unfortunately, so we weren't able to get the money to do Journeyman4. Great fun while it lasted!!
The polyphonic rendition of your main theme was spot on. I checked out the actual original soundtrack mp3s too and I have to say it's all great stuff. I loved the main theme tune most but the other tracks were great.
