Unfortunately, I can't try it with Gigastudio, but I've recommended it as a possible solution to those wanting to route external applications audio stream through Gigapulse. Since Gigastudio will host VST effects, I thought it may be possible, although I've heard no confirmation from anyone whether it works or not. Maybe no one's brave enough to try it.

Worked good in all my attempts, but again, I haven't tried it with Gigastudio, me being berift of it and all.

I tried and failed. Massive latency, and I was not able to make the audio get 'GigaPulsed' (I didnt manage to have the sound routed). I dident have time to do further testing, but I failed so far.

Very interested in hearing what other may have acheived.

Well, that doesn't sound promising, haha...

I wrote to the author, so we'll see what he has to say.

Could I transfer vocal tracks from say nuendo, to GS3 (since it hosts VST FX ) and play vocal lines that trigger on a certain key, then run this through Giga? Tell me it is so. Cause then my Creamware FX can be added which I use exstensively. Hell I could pull off some tricks live with that feature, cause I still use hardware sequencers,i.e.QX-1, MC-500MkII, because of two decades of use w/o any failure!! I always wanted to add better backing vocals without syncing up to tape or Sonar, etc.

I tried last week after Josephs suggestion the VSL forum.
GS didn't crash, but I could get it to accept the stream from cubase.
Cubase could link to GS ..... but you need both ends working.

Re: StreamBoy: Has anyone tried this with GS?

I have exchanged e-mails with Paul Harvey, who says that anyplace one can "grab" a VST-stream should work, in theory.

I have not had an opportunity to set this up and try it, and the schedule is looking really tight for the next several days, but I will eventually report what happens here with it. If this does indeed end up working, it would be a very novel way to get in and out of a GigaStudio setup, and to get streams out of it at various patch points.

Yeah. I could really use it as a way of routing VSL VI to GigaPulse

    Hello guys !

I‘m doing a test. (Thanks for the link, Bruce, I didn’t know this strange (and promising) tool...)

    And, well... it works.

Big latency however. But I didn’t tweak anything for now.

I’m not sure that the way I did is the right one (so many possibilities...), but it works.

Let me tell you what I did :

    Nuendo 2 :

VSTI track : Stream boy as insert (it shows « Nuendo - Stream 4 » (why four ?...) and « No stream set » in ‘Connects to’).
    Rewire track : Gigastudio.

    Gigastudio :

Track 1 : Insert 1, Stream Boy (It shows « Gigastudio 3.0 - Stream 3 » (why three ?...) and « Nuendo - Stream 4 » in ‘Connects to’), and insert 2... well... whatever you want...

    Voilà...

I didn’t touch anything and it works !

Theoretically, I can use Gigapulse now in Nuendo...

I’ll read the PDF to know if I can reduce the latency (it shows 362.81 ms). (Not sure, with my poor P4 2.6...)
