Unfortunately, I can't try it with Gigastudio, but I've recommended it as a possible solution to those wanting to route external applications audio stream through Gigapulse. Since Gigastudio will host VST effects, I thought it may be possible, although I've heard no confirmation from anyone whether it works or not. Maybe no one's brave enough to try it.
Worked good in all my attempts, but again, I haven't tried it with Gigastudio, me being berift of it and all.
Could I transfer vocal tracks from say nuendo, to GS3 (since it hosts VST FX ) and play vocal lines that trigger on a certain key, then run this through Giga? Tell me it is so. Cause then my Creamware FX can be added which I use exstensively. Hell I could pull off some tricks live with that feature, cause I still use hardware sequencers,i.e.QX-1, MC-500MkII, because of two decades of use w/o any failure!! I always wanted to add better backing vocals without syncing up to tape or Sonar, etc.
I have exchanged e-mails with Paul Harvey, who says that anyplace one can "grab" a VST-stream should work, in theory.
I have not had an opportunity to set this up and try it, and the schedule is looking really tight for the next several days, but I will eventually report what happens here with it. If this does indeed end up working, it would be a very novel way to get in and out of a GigaStudio setup, and to get streams out of it at various patch points.
