Just wanted to point out my bands new CD. It was the first time I've ever recorded/produced/mixed a rock band. THe band is Roswell http://roswellarea51.com/ and the CD is called "Grey Area". I play bass (if you can call it that). I more wanted to draw attention to the fact that I used Stormdrum to replace the kicks and the snare in all the songs on the CD. I just wasnt happy with the recorded sound so I found a free drum trigger plug called ktfx. I used it to translate the kick drum and snare tracks into individual midi tracks and then used that to trigger stormdrum inside of Cubase. I used Nick's kit 1 for almost every song. Just seemed to fit. I never thought of Stormdrum for rock drums but I liked it quite a bit. I posted three songs here http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp...=327701&T=4679 . What do you guys think? I thought they blended pretty well. Like I said, this was my first attempt at this kind of project. We recorded the drums with a Roland VS-1880 and I transferred them to my DAW as 7 individual tracks later (one painful track at a time via spidf). We then recorded everything else at my house in the bedroom studio. Bruce was kind enough to give me a few pointers so whatever is good about it could be attributed to him, whatever sucks about it, well......that's probably me. Thanks for the listen.
