The Listening Room is a year old

It's been one year since we've had a dedicated sub-forum to listen to each other's work.

This section has become one of my favorite places and I'm glad we added this wing on the forum house.

Making music is what its all about. It's the reason behind GPO, this community and is an important part of all our lives.

Thanks to all of you who shared your music with us. Thanks etLux, Valhalx, DPDan and many others for taking time to listen to so many of the works here.

Let us know if you have any suggestions to make this place even better.

    Gary Garritan

The Listening room has been in existence for only a year?!

I've been a forum member for less than that... but i can't imagine not visiting this area on a regular basis.

The work being submitted here is definitely inspiring!!!

My biggest congratulations, and compliments to you Gary and those involved for such a wonderful forum addition.!

    Bravo!!

I've only been here for about 4 or 5 months, and already it has become a regular part of my day's routine (and I look forward eagerly to the new music!)

In such a short time on this forum, I have made some very nice friends, and I look forward to many more days. months and years sharing music with you all.

    Bravo, Mr. G!

    Gary,
You have been thanked on many occasions for creating GPO and providing a Forum and I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank and praise you for your vision.
The Listening Room is a showcase where one can hear the creative efforts many talented composers and song writers. It is also a meeting place to make friends. There is the true value of this room.

I've said privately to Gary that the GPO is secondary. His real life work is nurturing the development and growth of thousands of composers and musicians. I believe that's how the future will see Gary, and I cannot think of a better calling.

To the best of my knowledge, the Garritan Listening Room is the largest, most active, and most productive composers' forum in existence, today. I know of nothing to compare to it, or of anyone in history who has done more to nourish and promote the creation of new music. In that, even Nadia Boulanger has nothing on Gary.

This is a truly grand achievement, Gary; undoubtedly your best... and every one of us here deeply thanks you for your efforts.

    BRAVO, my friend: BRAVO!

    With admiration and thanks,

You know, Sean, if you weren't doing silly things like getting an education, studying, writing all those great Flash players for the score examples in Gary's forthcoming Rimsky-Korsakov, etc. -- you'd have much more time to listen and write.

Not only those things but, running around campus during chat time just because his college made the final four. Write more music instead!

    Oh and ...
