I will definitely be seriously considering a move to Apple soon. Way to go Apple!

The snag is that audio applications have a reputation for being pernickety. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that they run badly on one or both OS or even not at all on XP.

You just need a time machine - set on reverse!

this -would- suprise me. We are talking about a genuine intel machine, running genuine Windows.

I can't see that folk, who who are interested in value for money, will pay the usual (over the odds) prices for an apple PC and then have to pay even more for a Windows operating system.

I'm always open to change, but in many years I've never seen Apple make an attempt to be competitive.......they seem to rely on a loyal core of designers and musicians to support them. I understood this when it was GUI versus DOS....but now?

It's still going to be second-class performance compared to an AMD-based machine at the same price - regardless of whether MacOS or Windows is running on the Intel machine.
