I got the wonderful news last night that the movie Running Deep for which I composed the music will be presented at the Cannes Market, and screened at the end of the month there. This is not the film festival proper, but it's a very important promotional coup, as this is where all the "wheeling and dealing" occurs for indie films.
The film's producer secured representation from Magic Lamp Releasing, meaning it is being shopped now by Marc Halperin, who while working at Mirimax, was responsible for the distribution of films such as , Lies, and Videotape, The Crying Game, My Left Foot, and many others. The director told me that response to the music from Magic Lamp was positive.
The soundtrack is about 80% GPO, with the rest filled in with Reaktor, Battery, StormDrum, Absynth, et al.
