it's quite an ancient Italy, you are evocating!
Anyway, the melody is fine, and even if i don't like the introduction as it is now, the rest of the piece is quite good. i would like to suggest two possible little refinement:
- a little more ambience
- a little dynamic or instrumentation contrast between sections.
The result can be really intersting. thanks for posting it.
May I agree with Fabio's technical comments; but the
piece overall ... beautifully done! Very effective evocation
of the sound and feel of the period. It quite surprised
me how well you made this work, Mick -- fine job!
thank you all for listening and now based on your comments a new louder version.
louder must be better eh?
wha'! cannae hear ye for aw 'at medieval racket on yon computer.
eh! where're mah bagpipes at an ah'll shew ye racket. so ah will.
Beautifully stylish work here. You are definitely channeling an early century here. I like your arrangement of the upper woodwinds and strings. I has just the right tone quality. If only we had some good recorder samples...
