sfz!! I'd be very interested in this too. To be convincing, I have to resort to a sample library. The mod wheel just doesn't cut it.

I do it all the time but use midi for it:

    - use the x-folder versions
    - set the cc#1 slider to -100
    - use cc#1 AND cc#24 AND velocity

    Hi Hannes,

    Wie geht's?

Sorry, but can you explain "x-folder versions"? Is it something to do with Kontakt?

    Vielen Dank,
    David.

Hannes may be thinking of GPO and not JABB.

Convincing Sfz/crescendo's is tough to do with any of the libraries although I've had pretty decent results in JABB. Make sure you pick the brighter instruments such as Trumpet 1. Instruments that fade over time won't work either. Use high velocities on the attack. You may also want to mess with the CC26/CC27 Tone controls.

    Hi Michael,

Did you try with Finale 2007? sfz cresc are way improved in 2007 over 2006 (with Human Playback on).

    Cheers
