We just wanted to let all of my friends here on the forum know that Laura and I are expecting our first child. We found out on Monday. Everyone's been pretty ecstatic over it. We've been getting alot of, "It's about time!!" remarks, and I keep getting sly looks from all of the guys! Scary.
Anyway, just wanted to pass along our good news. We will be sure to keep you posted as things progress.
Congratulations Jonny and Laura! Now I'll have to stick around longer just to see the proud parents pictures (and I'm sure there will be loads of them) of the new born!
Many well wishes for mom and baby and dad. And if you ever need a good baby sitter call DPDAN.
Well, I think you are in for some mixed blessings, but I also think the joys will be far greater and longer lasting than the sorrows. You will spend a large portion of your life preparing your children to leave you. Then one day, you discover that you did a good job, and they are off somewhere on their own. I don't know which years are the nicest, the infantile years are sweet, but the later years also have their charms, and you will enjoy every minute of parenthood even when you are being frustrated to the limits of your endurance. I am still experiencing both sides of the coin, and my youngest is 42.
