    Smile Orchestration Challenge #8

Here we go, nothing special, just a little diddy I came up with. The challenge is on again.

(Updated the links as the previous links posted were too unreliable.)

Is it just me or does it seem like a slow rock piece jumps into your head upon hearing this?

I agree with Ed, It's just you!

I already have mine done, anyone else working on this piece? Or are you all wrapped up in the 4th of July Contest?

    Great melody!

I'll have to update the archive soon.

Will you be collecting the entries, Mitch? Also, any ideas for a deadline?

Congrats for your previous victory, and many thanks for a wonderful melody! It's very catchy, I actually imagine all sorts of orchestral orchestrations with this.

Yes, I can collect the entries. How does 4-5 weeks sound? Let's say August 21?

    Question Re: Orchestration Challenge #8

As this will be the first time I've entered, are there any special considerations or limitations in place? Are allowed to alter the melody during the piece as long as it is presented in its original manner as well? Meter changes ok? Anything that is forbidden?

This should be fun. A lot of possibilities for this melody.

As far as I know, you are free to do what you wish to the melody, add what ever transition parts you like, etc...

Completed entries shoud be sent to my email address of:

    mitchmanthe@integraonline.com

    Thanks and good luck everyone!
