    Re: Orchestration Challenge #8

    Mitch,

I did not know how long it needed to be. It is only about a minute long. If that is to short, then let me know and I will fix it. Anyway, if it is okay... enjoy! I have not ever done one of these, and I have to admit to being pretty excited.

    Thanks,

I'll vote for yours if you vote for mine.

I'm joking of course. I hope to have enough ability to do one the next time around but right now still learnng. That is an excellent entry, Paul. Very fine work, very impressive!

I think most of the entries in the last one were longer, i don't know the answer to your question, but i would make it at least two minutes, but that's just my personal opinion. I think the rule was any length you want.

Are we doing this Challenge a bit differently? How it worked in the past is that the entries are kept under wraps until voting, and anonymous until afterwards. So as to have a more fair vote etc.

I thought it was anonymous...looks like results might be slightly biased though...

    Sorry folks,

I guess I let the cat out of the bag. It would not be a big deal to do another one! I, apparently, have to write a longer one anyway. Just call the other one a practice run for me! No Biggie!

I did not know about the anonymity thing. Again, my apologies to one and all! I'd better get to work!!!

I misunderstood the "or posted here on this link"... I thought that that meant on this thread. Could someone clarify for me? Should I delete the posting with the entry or should I write another?

    Help!!!

Ooops, soory, I screwed up. To keep entries anonymous, please forward your link/song to:

    mitchmanthe@integraonline.com.

Do NOT post them here in this link.

    Thanks,

    Question Re: Orchestration Challenge #8

    Mitch,

Has my entry been compromised by the early posting? Should I write another entry? Are there time constraints?

    Lot of questions!!

P.S. I found the challenges website...so the time question has been answered.

    Re: Orchestration Challenge #8

First off, go back and edit your post that you put your entry info on and delete the URL. It's up to you if you want to do a new song or go with what you've already written. I'm don't know how many members have listened to your entry yet. I, myself, don't like to listen to any entries until I've finished my own work so as not to be influenced by what I hear from someone else. But I would definitely remove the URL from you previous post and email me your link instead.

Again, sorry for the screw-up. I'm new at this, too.
