    Small Towns

Small Towns has two parts to it and it's all GPO.

    Thumbs up Re: Small Towns

That's a beautiul piece Fastlane. The first part reminds me of the small towns on holidays like the Forth of July or their own unique festivals and the second part is simply peaceful, evocative of the timeless beauty of those rural landscapes.

Thanks David. That's pretty much what I was trying to say on this one.

Nice job on this, Phil... the recreation of a very authentic
sounding small town marching band; and then the almost
sentimental commentary that follows... rather a subtle,
    interesting statement, overall.

    Enjoyed listening.

    Phil,

Really nice writing. I love the concert/marching band works as it is. And the GPO really makes it shine!

Thanks for the nice comments David S.

I kind of did this one backwards as I was going to do something completely different with the second part but it seemed like a natural follow up to the march which I started twenty years ago and have kept on my brains back burner.

I think there might also be a little sadness there with MY small town and county experiencing rapid growth and loss of community. You can't go back to Kansas.

Thanks a lot Gary. I really respect your band music and I'm so glad you liked it.
