    Garritan 3rd Annual Christmas CD

    Holy Cow it's the end of July!
    That means only about 90-100 days till the entry deadline.

    I gotta get busy.

    My choice is "What Child Is This?"
    Please use only Garritan libraries, and keep the duration to a maximum of four minutes, this will allow us to have approximately 20 songs on the CD. Also, the songs should be public domain and try to use familiar songs that everyone can relate to. Please don't reserve a song if you don't think you can manage the deadline.

    Each song entered will be approved by a secret crew of musical geniuses,
    Let's get on the ball, it will be here before you know it.

    Yay! Third year in a row I get to attempt: "Huron Carol"

    Difference is, new computer is on the way and I'm gonna' snag me a new notation package (Finale 2007 vs. Overture 4 still undecided...)

    Almost there.... almost there... my decimated studio is finally coming back!

    Funny..... I was just thinking about this today!

    HI,
    I would like to submit my "Mozart On Ice". It was recently posted to the forum at;

    The link is to my site;

    Is there anything else I need to do to have it considered for the CD?

    Thanks.

    Woohoo! Time to get started nice and early!

    I'd love to render another wassailing tune ... "The Gloucestershire Wassail" ... it's a lesser known Christmas folk tune than the one I did last time (Here We Come A-Wassailing), but it has a beautiful catchy melody that I think would lend itself wonderfully to a short under-four-minute piece. Woohoo! I can't wait to get started with it...

    Do we have to mail a CD to you? Because that would terribly suck for me since the CD drive on my computer doesn't work right now.

    I would like to try my hand at "The Chrismas Song" (Christmas Don't be Late) by Alvin and the Chipmunks. Is that a familiar song that everyone can relate to, or have you youngsters never heard of it? It's a Christmas classic from 1962.

    I deffenately will get in on this project!
    Now here's a nice idea. My music store will be open in October of this year. This will be a great Christmas CD to have included with our sales.

    Does the music have to be arrangements of original Christmas music? or can you submit original works on a Christmas theme?
