    Bach - Trio Sonata VI

    This transcription is of Bach's "Trio Sonata VI in G-Major" for organ BWV 565 and is set here for string quartet. The three movements are as follows;

    The work is produced using Finale 2006 and GPO instruments; Gagliano Violin Plr 1 and Plr 3, Solo Viola and Solo Cello.

    This is my fourth transcription of Bach's six organ Trio Sonatas that have been previously posted to this forum. The others can be found at;

    Excellent job on these transcriptions, sensitively realized and rendered in the quartet setting. My personal favorite was the vivace.

    Thanks for taking the time to so carefully craft these with such expert musicianship and share them with us here.

    Very well crafted. I always enjoy listening to Bach and your realization of his Trio Sonata has made my day a little more musical.

    Thanks for sharing your conducting talents with the GPO orchestra.

    Danny,

    Thanks for your kind comments regarding these transcriptions. They are such a natural fit for string ensemble. But then again Bach's works are so incredibly versital it should not be a surprise they work across many performing mediums.

    Jack,

    I am glad that you enjoyed them and they had special meaning for you. The GPO makes these kinds of tasks a whole lot easier and the output is suburb.
