    NForce 4 Mobos with FX-Teleport

The NForce 4 mobo problems with digital audio have been well documented on this forum. RME has a great article regarding the same on their website, dealing with the PCI, PCIe problems with sound cards.

However, will a NForce 4 mobo work as a slave computer that is accessed by FX-Teleport and does not have a sound card installed?

    Thanks

I would like to know where (link) you found this. I went to their site and they claim in the FAQ their cards work fine with PCIe boards.

    HI,
the issues with Nforce4 have little to do with sampling.
however there are several aspects of the N4 that make it less than desirable for audio.

    1) UADs will not work with them unless you use a PCIe UAD
    2) they suffer a 10%+ performace penalty vs other options.

RME or any for the matter audio interfaces work with them.

the exceptions to the UAD issue are
Lynx audio interfaces and using a PCIe firewire port.
PCI (including onboard) firewire or PCI interface have issues with the UADs.
