I wrote my "Gigue In C" this morning. (08/14/06)
At center-stage is the GPO Steinway 88.
I hope you shaved first. Or was it while shaving?
Quite a nice job on this, especially as it gets moving;
like the dynamic contrasts earlier in, and the excellent
rhythmic force in this... really cooks along.
I composed it while reading the shortest book in the world, "The Good Things About Hillary".Originally Posted by etLux

It could have been worse! If they'd tried to do the same thing about GWB they would have been hard pressed to come up with a paragraph! Clever piano piece Larry.Originally Posted by Larry G. Alexander
Thanks for your third sentence. No thanks for your second.
I have to agree with David... very good job on this.
On the political front, I do not think that we have been given a good choice since Ron Reagan. The last few presidents (Hilarary... oops, I meant BC, both of the Bushes.) have not been the easy choices... they were the lesser of 2 evils, each time. Slowly but surely, we are losing our civil liberties, our honor as a nation (lies and so on.), and our respectability among other nations.
When I was in Germany in the 90's, I saw German soldiers with automatic weapons. That type of thing would not bother me if it happened here. What does bother me is our gov't's willingness to delve into our private lives; i.e. tapping our phones, monitoring e-mail, etc.
A few years ago, I caught part of the national convention (both parties)... I made the joke that it reminded me of the Nuremberg rallies. I hope that the joke does not ring true for our country.
"...that the light of freedom may never leave this world..." -- Lincoln
(sorry, if the quote or wording is wrong)
You would think that with a population as large as ours, we could get one candidate who outshines the other and lead us into the future. Part of my issues with candidates in the last few elections, is that the people seem to think the president is like a king who can fix all our woes. In my opinion, the president is a figurehead who's real job is to make sure that congress does not over-step their bounds and is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces... that is it! No magic powers to cure our social woes...feed the poor... take care of the ignorant. Bah!! I must have read a different constitution when I was in school. Our forefathers would not recognize the nation we have become.
Good Lord, Larry... I did not mean to rant like that!
Great music, Larry, keep'em comin'!

Thanks for listening and giving it a good review.
I have not heard anything that you have written that did not make me say, "That's good."
Sorry about the rant.
