Rod Serling is definitely the shade of this piece,
    Ed...

Superb motivic writing in this -- strangely moving
and evocative, and that ripping crescendo amid-
ship works great in conjunction with the flavored,
    soft ending.

A highly successful piece, Ed, much appreciated
on my part -- and, to my ear, just about perfectly
    rendered.

    Best,

    David
