Thinking of using Mac to drive two media PCs - good idea?
I have two Windows PC's (one is XP and one is XP 64bit) that are networked. These PC's work well and have lots of RAM and very good harddrives so I use them for large sample libraries. My school is heavilly mac based but I don't want to lose my entire investment.
I was thinking of buying a mac laptop (something strong enough for a sequencer but not for the samples) and have Digital Performer on the Macintosh drive the samples on the PC.
Is this a good idea? Has anyone else done this? How would I connect the PC and Mac - just network them all together or through MIDI in/out/through on the interface?
