    Bach - Fantasia in G-Major

    This transcription on the Bach organ work is the "center-cut" choral section of a larger work by that name. It is a particularly interesting work with its continuously cascading theme, long sustained chords, almost never fully resolving until the thundering climax.

    This particular transcription is set for large brass choir, 3 Trumpets, 2 F Horns, 3 Trombones, Euphonium, Tuba and Timpani. The parts being produced using GPO and JABB libraries. The rendered performance at;

    As a comparison, here the same transcription by the Eastman Brass Guild performing in Kilborne Hall at Eastman School of Music (© 2000).

    I listened to this earlier, Gary, but didn't have
    time to reply when you first posted.

    That Eastman Brass Guild performance is most
    certainly a delight to the ear, Gary. By gosh,
    but they're good!
