    HALLOWEEN!! (A Dracula thing)

    Hi Everyone

    A bit of a longer piece than the short things I usually post here. I took a couple of themes from a live theater production of Dracula I wrote a few years ago and adpated them into a 3-section overture type thing.

    This is all GPO plus some Magnus VST choir voices and a touch of K2 sound effect.

    My Halloween Contest entry: Dracula Overture (The Count's Castle, The Seduction of Lucy, Search for the Lair). Hope you enjoy it!

    Danny, excellent work on this!

    First-rate craftsmanship; great job on the orchestration.
    And the "mood and setting" work on this is just superb;
    rather a blend of restrained medievil impending horror, neo-
    Romantic wistfulness, and Mission Impossible meets the Middle
    Ages (with fangs at the ready).

    A gorgeous piece of work, Danny; thoroughly engaging,
    right down to that last exhaled breath:

    Bravo!

    Thanks for such lavish praise, David! And I certainly had fun doing the "Dracula breath" myself.

    Thanks very much, Reegs!... a weakness that I've been working on, so I certainly appreciate the comment.

    Simply said, I have never heard a better horror or adventure film score. Absolutely outstanding program music.

    Hey, very nice. I liked the twists and turns; didn't expect the sorrowful side; the solitude and despair of those who are cursed to walk the earth driven by the mad lust for blood. Wonderful use of lower end brass and percussion. Very well thought out and executed. A very cinematic rendering... enjoyed this work...
