Dan,
You never disappoint! This is an amazing achievement. I hung to this from beginning to end. The rendering is unsurpassed in realism. Great work!

Excellent work on this one. And also to Haydn for the original input. Yes it is very apparent that you have put in the time and effort into this monumental work. A well deserved BRAVO.
RPearl thank you gobs for listening!
I remixed it again, so now you can click on this link or the one in the first post and listen to the remix. It is faster and has some mix issues fixed.
Great work on this, Dan. It sounds really convincing, just like a live performance. The short oboe solo, always a sensitive moment, was really well done, followed by the hushed strings, to name but one part.
The tempo was just right, giving it an urgent feel, I wouldn't like it any faster.
Full marks on this!
an unbelievable improvement on the frankly anaemic first version --remember this symphony was quite revolutionary in its drive and power when it came out. Tempo is now spot on as are all the accents and delicacy in the quieter moments. Not entirely sure about those horms but the sound otherwise is first rate as well. Now pls. excuse me while I listen to it again!
Is there a place where I can also access Haydn's MIDI file? I am still learning GPO and an example MIDI file that exemplifies how to properly program GPO would be very helpful for learning the techniques.
