Topic: O.T. I will begin radiation treatments...

O.T. I will begin radiation treatments...

...for "the Big C" on Monday, October 23, 2006.

I will have five consecutive treatments, Mondays through Fridays for eight weeks for a total of forty radiation sessions.

I wonder if anyone has ever survived the treatments themselves?

If anyone needs a night light, I'll be glowing in the dark for a long time.

    Much affection to everyone,

    Larry Alexander

I seem to recall from The Bathroom Reader that Russian folks invented a type of beer that helps eliminate some radiation from the body.

In all seriousness, best wishes and prayers to you. Best thing you can do is keep that fighting spirit! Stick it out - you'll pull through!

    Hi Larry:

All of our curing thoughts are with you. It's not easy taking radiation treatments, but from some of my friends that have, they didn't have ANY side effects and said it was a lot better than Chemo.

One of my music profs had radiation for a brain tumor and didn't even lose his hair. A little sunburn on the scalp, but hey, that can happen anywhere.

    Take great Care, Larry.

Very few people can go through life without being effected by this in some way....

Our prayers will be with you.

Well, I can confirm that the radiation therapy will not be pleasant, but you will survive! There will be a temptation to quit the treatments, but do not give up! Can I send for you the next time we have a power failure here? I am expecting a few soon. I can use you to light up my music rack on the piano!
