    Mix Help Revisited!

    Ok:

Made some changes, please let me know what you think. DPDan, thanks again for the input. Let me know if this is better. The two remixed are Free Range Duck and 2 AM. Hope I am getting closer here.

    Re: Mix Help Revisited!

Rikp, Ern has all the stuff pegged exactly on the nose.
    Free Range Duck,

It sounds to me like the reverb on the sax is mono, open it up if you can, and compress the snot out of the bass if you have to, then crank it up, and the mix needs way more kick as Ern said. This is gonna be really good!

2AM has way too much compression on the mix for my taste.
The snare sound is really wimpy, and needs to be bigger and deeper (wood) sound more like a ballad type sounding snare. The whole tune is really dry and could use a nice sounding reverb highlighting the sax and snare. Again more kick is needed and add some EQ to the kick around 3-5 KHz.

I hope this helps, of course these are just my opinions and we all hear things a little different.
