KOWALSKI: Vesuvius - From the Mouth (with score)

I'm finally getting back to this massive piece and finishing up score preparations. Here is the final mix and score in pdf form for the third movement. The score to the first movement will be complete soon. Comments are appreciated.

    Jamie,
Congrats on this project. Just listened while following the score. This is a very intrigueing and well written piece.

Thumbs up Re: KOWALSKI: Vesuvius - From the Mouth (with score)

It's an interesting symphonic piece. The technic is quite close to what I used for the last requested piece in my conservatorio degree, so I feel confortable with the overal sound and structure, appreciating it (witha little of melancoly...).

    Fabio,

I'm curious about this. Was it a work whose style or harmonic language was dictated to you as part of the assignment? If so, what parameters were given to you?

Nice job on the score, Jamie; and an excellent
    final mix of this.

I believe I first heard this movement some six
months or so ago; and it is a testament to the
quality of the writing that I believe I remembered
just about every note of it, Jamie.

This is harmonic language, unique orchestrative
work, and clarity of thought that stays with one...

    My best,

An interesting atmospheric piece. I listened to it a few times, and each time it got better, which I think is a good sign.

I think this is a testament to your musical memory and your dedication to the GPO community as well. Thanks for listening yet again, and for your kind words.

It was great to revisit this musical world again.

You definitely have a way about you when it comes to making dissonance sound ravishing and sensuous.

As I mentioned previously, this music evokes a ballet stage to me. Although it is a slow movt, there is an uncanny precision to the rhythmic flow, and very sure dramatic pacing.

Excellent mix on this one Jamie.

    regards Joe
