    Amazing MIDI Controller!

    Have a look at this:

I wonder how would it be to play the Garritan Strad with this one!

The con is that the price is too high in my opinion.

Yes, it's really cool. Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater's keyboardist) uses it in the last two albums of the band, Octavarium and Score (3 CD's Live).

The intro of the song Octavarium was done with this device.

Someone could make something in that way using an Optical Pen Mouse as a 3 axis MIDI controller. It would be really cool.

    Cheers!

Wow! I want one!! I'd be curious to see how it might work with the Strad too. It seems like it might be a more intuative way to play the Strad (or the rest of the Garritan strings once they're out). Does anyone on this forum have one of the these controllers? If so, please enlighten us. Thanks!

    Hello,

Has anybody tried this thing? (LiveLab Tablet 2 MIDI)

Using this VST with a synthetizer could be the Haken Continuum cheap version.

    Cheers!

    Re: Amazing MIDI Controller!

The problem with the Tablet based controller is that you need a tablet that can handle multiple simultaneous inputs at once. Most of the tablets I've used can only handle one input (or user) at a time. This means that only one point on the tablet can be used. To play chords, you would need a tablet that allows you to press different locations on it simultaneously.

Also, I wonder how JABB would sound when being played with a wind controller...
