    Stylus RMX and Rex files...

    Hi all

I need a little help to solve this problem. I have just got Stylus RMX and am trying o load the Rex files from E-Labs Smokers Delight(now discontinued) according to Big Fishes website this library is compatible with Stylus and when I use the Sage converter to convert the files, then open Logic the Stylus I can see the folder, but the sound clip does not show up...

    Any ideas please?

    thanks in advance

Re: Stylus RMX and Rex files...

how many REX loops are in the folder when you convert them to SAGE format? The max you can have in there is 61. If there are more than that - this is likely part of the problem.

also - you can't have nested folders when you to the conversion.

    hope this helps

Re: Stylus RMX and Rex files...

I realise that there is a limit to the files in each conversion and have even tried just one file which did not work either though I can see the folder that it should be in...

    two things:
    1) are you using the latest sage converter from spectrasonics?
    2) tell us exactly how you convert the rex files.

    Hi,

I do have the latest versions, I usually drag the folder to my desktop first and remove any .wav files then drg and drop into the sage converter as per the tutorial video, I also tried the other way in the tutorial videos....

well, sometimes I've found after a good night's sleep that "problems" solve themselves :-)

Re: Stylus RMX and Rex files...

Right I have had another poke about and still cannot get this to work. I get an Omnioutliner readable file in the folder that is created instead of a playable sample if that helps..

though this does not open and is not readable...
