    Jupiter Comparisons

When I first put up my Jupiter Fanfare for brass quartet, David S. suggested that I also list my original version. Uploading failed numerous times, over a period of several day, but finally, today, it worked. So, here it is, in spite of my original misgivings. The frequent failures of uploads is one very strong reason why I will probably finally get a decent site of my own.

    I liked both versions.

They remind me a little of Robert Fripp and Brain Eno experimental music from the early seventies.

Thanks for posting the comparisons, Richard; I always
find such things informative -- how the basic raw material
    will be influenced by ensemble.

My personal preference is for the second version, with
its greater clarity of line and texture.

    Best,
