    Sonata for harpsichord by Soler

Soler (1729-1783) studied with Scarlatti, and wrote over 100 short sonatas similar in style to Scarlatti. These are also also played on piano today, but I took this popular one and put it through GPO Harpsichord.
    Hope you enjoy!

I DID enjoy! Sounds good, Eugene. Thanks for rendering this, Lad. The GPO harpsi is a wonderful instrument.

Thanks for that Larry - I know you like harpsichord, you have used same in a number of your own compositions to great effect.
    Your comments are appreciated

Ah, Soler would be proud Eugene. Very nice sound and probably a lot better sound than they had in those early days. Weather played havoc with instruments. With the computer harpsichord, it stays nice and warm and inside all the time. LOL

Nice job on this Eugene. A very enjoyable listen. A piano version for comparison might be interesting. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Bill. Yes that's a good idea - I will post piano version shortly for comparison. Will have to think about dynamic levels and apply them!

Crumbs - just realised that the file I posted for the Soler Sonata for harpsichord contained the first part of the sonata only! Apologies all - the link now has the full sonata. The second part is attractive - so please give it another go.

I am not so familiar with Soler, though I have heard of him before. What a nice enjoyable elegant sonata! It seems to be filled with catchy tunes. Nice rendering, thanks for spreading some Soler.
