I'd also like to dedicate this tearfully joyous moment to my friend John Mark Painter, who is the only person known to have played both the Mellophone and the Mellotron on major-label recordings.

    That is quite a list!

    Lookin' forward to it, Gary!

I think you'll make a LOT of band directors happy with this one!

Y'all really must rent the 1996 movie Brassed Off, about a British colliery brass band. It's got gratuitous, explicit euphonium.

    Re: Marching Band Instrument List

That's a very complete list. This is just what I've been waiting for.

I realize that this is called a marching band, and these might be considered concert band instruments, but I was hoping for F Horns in addition to the Mellophones. I also would like to see an Eb Alto clarinet and a Bass Clarinet. Even a Contrabass Clarinet shouldn't be out of the question.

I know we can use instruments from GPO to augment our concert bands, but we don't have a group sample of F Horns there either.

    Either way I'm buying,
    Jeff

Ha! That would have been a great joke:

    Brass:
    Trombones Group 5 (76 players)
    Cornets Group 5 (110 players)

    Woodwinds and Saxes:
Reeds Group 1 (more than 1000 players)

    Drumline and Percussion:
    Mounted Cannon (50 players)
