SAGE files always bigger after conversion from REX2 - why?

    Hi everybody,

I've been converting some REX2 files into STYLUS RMX using the latest version of both Stylus and the SAGE converter utility and I was curious as to why the files are always bigger after conversion.

I've had one suite grow from 51 mb as REX2 to 83 mb in SAGE format. Another set if suites grew from 256 mb in REX2 format to 831 mb in SAGE format. I'm sure there's a reason - but what is it? Is it a combination of the size of the audio files and the number of loops in a suite? Thanks. - BC

cause REX2 format is a lossless compression

REX2 support, with up to 60% non-lossy audio compression
