"Conflict of Desire", short film score

    Greetings, GPOers,

I'm pleased to share my latest effort, a film score for "Conflict of Desire". It's a short, set in Victorian era, about a Vampire and a Friar, trapped in a tower... and the sun is about to come up...!

The film will be featured in the 2007 Bermuda International Film Festival.

Please pop onto my website and have a listen to some other stuff, too. All my latest work has been mostly done in GPO.

    Suite from "Conflict of Desire"

    Thanks for listening!

Many congratulations on the festival, Steve!

    I'd love to hear this in the context of the film;
very, very well done... good unity, self-reference,
to keep it cogent; and the writing and soundscape
    work is excellent.

    Fine job on this!

Sounds great but I agree, it would be nice to hear it in the cotext of the movie.

Come to the Bermuda International Film Festival in March!

But really, I'll try to put the film up on my website under a hidden link when it's available, then I'll send anyone who's interested an email to find the link.

    Thanks for your comments!

Great work, Steve! ( as usual)

Terrific ambience for a dark setting.

I especially enjoyed the level of control in your arrangement. Nothing forced.
Sounds completely professional in that respect.

and what a great website too!.. I remember commenting on the amount of wonderful works you had completed.
The graphic design has changed since then? .. very easy to navigate.

Congratulations on this latest film work!

A really great job, Steve. I loved the mix and all of the motifs. Just really super. I also would like to see the film with the music applied.

Fine job all around. I'll have to check out your website.

Can you tell us what parts were/weren't GPO?

I'm especially curious about the strings.

Wow. Thanks for the responces, guys. Most flattered!

Jeff: I believe in a simple layout for a website, so thanks for your comments. I don't think it's been through a major revamp since June 2005, though.

"Klassical": The only things that WEREN'T GPO were the Bartok pizz effect, the harpsichord, various kit drums, the vocals and a couple of bass and bell synth sounds.

I'll be sure to post the video as soon as I can!
