This summer, Alexander University is running a two-day film scoring school in Los Angeles with Jack Smalley (Scott's dad) who is currently Professor of Film Composition at University of Southern California and Head of Jazz Composition program at the Mancini Institute.

A two-day curriculum has already been planned and dates are being set for a run in June. This is a start-from-the-beginning approach that covers spotting the film, analyzing the scene, diagramming the cue, writing the cue, etc. The material here does not include any of the material in the Scott Smalley Class.
