This has been lurking on my hard drive for ages and I finally decided to finish it. Mozart's Flute Concerto in G, K. 313. It's often been commented that, for a guy who didn't like the flute, he sure wrote some nice things for it. Enjoy.
Boy Bill does that sound great. Real nice flute rendering. I assume that you used notation software to get all of the parts down. What did you use.
Thanks Jay. I have Finale and Overture 4. This is an old Overture 3 file I started when I first got GPO. Couldn't get it right then and abandoned it. I recently started tweeking it in Ove 4 and discovered I've learned a lot since then.
Wonderful rendering. Especially nice attention to dynamics and articulations, particularly in the solo flute.
Thanks Marc. It's often been said that, on the page, Mozart is not that difficult. Playing him well, is difficult. Where virtuosity is not an issue, finesse is. Well, perhaps that is virtuosity. Anyway, thanks for noticing my humble effort at presenting Mozart in a clean, crisp manner.
Bill - that sounds FANTASTIC. It's so believeable! Also the trills don't sound mechanical, they blend in unobtrusively with the melodic line. I love the instrumental balance you have got, and as you say, the GPO flute is great.
Great rendering and presentation,
